Two-day climbing to Olympus - Mytikas

Climbing Mount Olympus, with the most experienced mountain guides, for a safe and fun experience with scheduled two-day departures.

Program:

• Departure on Saturday morning from Litochoro and from there to the forest location "Gortsia" at about 1,100 meters altitude.
• From here we start the ascent following the route Gorcia - Petrostruga - Museon Plateau.
• The overnight stay will be at the shelter of the Giosos Apostolidis Plateau. The shelter is modest but the efforts of the managers are commendable. The menu is always delicious. The ascent to the peaks will take place on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning if the weather conditions do not prevent us, using appropriate safety climbing equipment (helmet, climbing harness, rope) and accompanied by experienced guides, and climbing instructors.
• Alternatively, for those who feel too tired to attempt it, they can choose visit to the chapel of Prophet Ilias on the peak of the same name or relax on the highest balcony in Greece.
• On the way back we follow the route Oropedio - Zonaria - Spilios Agapitos shelter - Prionia.
• Saturday mileage 13.5 km
• Sunday kilometers 12k.
• The physical condition required is good.
• The route is not recommended for people with musculoskeletal problems and for people with height or acrophobia.

Notes:

• There is the possibility for private ascents on the dates you wish after consultation.
• The Mountain Guide (leader of the excursion) has the right to cancel the ascent to the top of Mytikas if the weather conditions do not allow it for the safety of the participants.
